Edith Self (Jackson) Ware

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Edith Self Ware, Edith Self Ware, 95, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on June 06, 2019 at Testa Family Hospice in Kings Mountain, NC. She was born in Cherokee County, SC, to the late Andrew Jackson and Susie Jones Jackson and was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Richard James Self. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Fred L.A. Jackson and L.D. Rudolph Jackson, and her sisters, Thelma C. Jackson and Susie A. Jackson Kincses. Edith was a member of Patterson Grove Baptist Church. She was an avid reader, and especially loved reading her bible and the church bulletin. Edith enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She loved her grandchild and great grandchildren more than life itself. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. "Nanny" will be missed dearly by her loving family and friends.
