Edwin Ivan Boris Smith, 77, of Shelby, NC, passed away on October 08, 2026 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC. He was born December 5, 1948 in Middlesex County, NJ, son of the late Edward Charles and Adella Breese Smith and was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Smith and his sister, Amy Rakes. Edwin enjoyed being outdoors, feeding wild animal and spending time in nature. He lived independently and cherished those he cared for. Ed was a faithful and dedicated friend and a loving brother. He will be missed greatly by those who cared for him.
