Elala Parthenia (Metcalf) Caveny

DATELINE: WILSON, NORTH CAROLINA Elala Parthenia Caveny Elala Parthenia Caveny, 95, of Wilson, NC, passed away on June 11, 2019 at home in Wilson, NC. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Jacob Edgar Metcalf and Lela Jane Dixon Metcalf and was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Luther Odell Caveny. Parthenia was a former member of Eastside Baptist Church in Kings Mountain and a current member of Bible Missionary Baptist Church in Wilson. She enjoyed beading, sewing and working with arts and crafts. Parthenia was an avid reader and enjoyed reading the Kings Mountain Herald every week. She was a loving mother and grandmother to all of her grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by her family and loved ones. SURVIVORS: Daughters: Carolyn C. Bowman (Bill) Gold Hill, NC Rita C.
