ESTELLE GORDON PENNINGTON

- Estelle Gordon Pennington, age 95, died December 7, 2013 at White Oak Manor, Kings Mountain. Born in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late John Gordon and Minnie Guyton Gaffney. She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Avenue Pennington, daughters Florene Pennington and Martha Allen and son Yates Pennington and one grandchild Jesse James and brothers, Yates Gordon, Gus Gordon and sister Ossie Owens. She retired from the Margrace Mill and was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church. She loved to cook, go to flea markets, and take mountain trips. She was a loving mother, grandmother and had a big heart with lots of love.

SURVIVORS: Daughters: Patricia Greason and Linda Setzer, Kings Mountain, NC

Sister: Margie Peterson, Gastonia, NC

12 Grandchildren 18 great-grandchildren 5 Great-great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, December 10, 2013, 2:00 PM, True Gospel Holiness Church, Kings Mountain, NC with Rev. Tim Setzer, Rev. LeAnn Chapman and Rev. James Chambers, officiating.

VISITATION: 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM prior to the service in the sanctuary.

INTERMENT: Mountain View Cemetery, Blacksburg, SC
