GARY DAN BYERS

Gary Dan Byers, 72 of Grover, NC, passed away on December 03, 2017 surrounded by family and loving friends at Carolina Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. Born in Cleveland County, NC, he was the son of the late Aubrey Gilmore Byers and Ruth Malone Byers. He was also preceded in death by his brother Charles Byers and his daughter Krista Byers , who was the love of his life. Gary was well known for his musical abiliy, having played the five string banjo for years. His quick wit kept people happy and he never met a stranger. HIs love for old cars kept him busy. Because of his dislike of formalities and formal clothing, Gary would wish for everyone to dress casually and be comfortable. He would want his life to be celebrated.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Wednesday, December 6, 2017, 3:00 PM, FIrst Baptist Church, Grover, NC officiated by the Rev. Paul Sorrels and Rev. Scott Kierstead

VISITATION: 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM prior to the service in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church

INTERNMENT: Grover Cemetery, Grover, NC
