George William Culver

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA

George William Culver, 59, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on November 2, 2022 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was born in Palm Beach, FL, son of the late George Walter Culver and Laura Juliet Culver. He was a specialty demolition contractor for 20+ years in the Carolinas. His favorite aspects of his work included dismantling textile mills and recycling materials.  Two of his favorite projects were removing the warehouse behind the main building in McAdenville, NC and recently the warehouse portion of building 3 across the street. Over the years, he met and made many friends in the industry. He was a certified dive master and taught scuba diving in Florida. He loved restoring old things, especially cars, antiquing, long drives, and going to drag races. He loved his family and wife, Kathy Culver. SURVIVORS: Wife: Kathy Culver Children: Joshua Culver, Justin Bejin, Hannah Moore, David LaPlante, and Nicole Rivera Siblings: David Culver, Georgette Tallent Several nieces, nephews, and grand children CELEBRATION OF LIFE A celebration of live service will be held for George at McAdenville Baptist Church located at 192 N Main Street in McAdenville, NC 28098 on Friday, November 18th, at 2 o'clock pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that your generous gift be made to the charity of your choice in his honor. The family requests, and thanks all of you who cared about and loved George to kindly allow time to heal and for privacy during this trying time.
