GERTIE ANDERSON OWENS - Gertie Anderson Owens, age 99, a resident of 900 West Gold Street, Kings Mountain, NC, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 17, 2012 at her home. Born in Pickens County, South Carolina, daughter of the late William Richard and Julia Medlin Anderson, married to the late Cecil S. Owens for 63 years. A homemaker and member of First Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, she loved music, arts and crafts and was a God-Fearing, Proverbs 31 Lady who loved her church family and was a loving wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother.
