Due to the inclement weather, Mrs. Jenkins' funeral service has been postponed to Thursday, January 18, 2018, 2:00 PM at David Baptist Church.

Gloria Gay Jenkins, 78 of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on January 12, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte. Born in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late David Augustus Stroup and Maude Epley Stroup. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Hughlon Stroup, Ruben Stroup and Lehman Stroup. Gay enjoyed doing puzzles, crocheting, and watching birds. She was an active member of T.O.P.S, (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) and the Towery/Towry Family Association. She attended David Baptist Church. Gay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend

SURVIVORS: Husband of 62 years: Lewis Alexander Jenkins: Children: Denise Blackmon (Roy) Shelby NC; Mark Jenkins KM NC; Kevin Jenkins (Janet) KM NC; Bryan Jenkins (Gail) KM NC; Karen Lemley (Kenneth) KM NC; Katherine Jenkins KM NC; 1 sister: Doris Clemmer Gastonia NC; 3 Grandchildren: Paul Creasman (Tracy), Alex Jenkins, Chad Blanton, 3 Great-Grandchildren: Ryan Creasman, Millie Creasman, and Victoria Blanton. Numerous Nieces and Nephews
