Gloria Jean Kirby Smith

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Gloria Jean Kirby Smith Gloria Jean Kirby Smith, 74, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on May 08, 2018 at Caromont Health Gaston in Gastonia, NC.  She was born in Cherokee County, SC, to the late James Ezell Kirby and Mary Eleanor Cumberford. Gloria was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Reverend Clarence E. Smith Jr and by two brothers, Don and Tony Kirby. She was a member of Pathway Baptist Church for many years. Gloria enjoyed sitting on her porch and watching birds and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Gloria was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by everyone who knew her. Gloria and Buddy are now together forever. Reunited exactly one year apart sharing the same Heavenly birthday.
