Harry Leonard “Bubba” Harman, 83, passed away on April 14, 2026, at Hospice House in Shelby. A devoted husband, he was married for 50 years to his beloved wife, Margie June Barnes Harman, who preceded him in death on January 27, 2026. His passing, coming so soon after Margie’s, has deepened the grief of all who loved them, yet brings comfort in knowing they are reunited in the presence of the Lord. Harry was also preceded in death by his parents, Carrie Marie Arey Harman and J. E. ‘Ed’ Harman.

Harry retired from Manufacturing Services and was well known for his love of the outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he also enjoyed taxidermy as a longtime hobby. A true nature lover, he found joy in feeding hummingbirds and watching the birds that gathered around his home. He was a faithful member of Crowders Mountain Baptist Church, where he cherished fellowship and worship.

Harry is survived by his siblings James E., Preston, and Rita Harman. Harry leaves behind his sons Don (Kat) Harman, John (Gail) Harman, and David (Becki) Dodson, 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward his legacy of love, strength, and family devotion.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel

VISITATION: Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home
