HAZEL CANIPE - Hazel Canipe Canipe, age 83, a resident of 605 Alexander Street, died December 21, 2011 at Upstate Medical Center in Gaffney, SC. She was a native of Cleveland Co., NC, daughter of the late David Lester and Vader Champion Canipe. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Charles Hugh Canipe and sister Faye Stacey. She was retired owner and operator of Hazel's Beauty Nook after 44 years and a member of Temple Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. She loved her customers and was the best Granny.
