Hazel Camp Smith

HAZEL CAMP SMITH - Hazel Camp Smith, age 73, resident of 609 Stoney Point Road, Kings Mountain, NC went to be with the Lord at her home. She was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Matthew Camp and Maggie Cabe. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Charles G. "Cooter" Smith; her daughter, Shelby McDonald; brother, Maynard Camp; and sister Christine Chapman. Mrs. Smith was a member of Living Water Church-Jesus Christ, Kings Mtn. NC and retired from Cherryville Primary Care. She was former medical assistant for the former McGill Clinic. She loved gardening, her flowers, and canning. She enjoyed being with her family and her grandchildren. A Proverbs 31 lady who had an unwavering faith in her Lord. She was was loving wife, mother, and "Maw Maw."

SURVIVORS: Sons: Boyd Smith, Kings Mtn. NC Rocky Smith, Grover, NC Daughters: Carol Smith Buchanan, Kings Mtn. NC Sandy Smith Long, Kings Mtn. NC Sister: Juanita Smith Stacey, Kings Mtn. NC 11 Grandchildren: Brock McDonald, Ricky McDonald, Tasha Haskins, Charlie Smith, II, Nicholas Houser, Lucas Long, Lance Long, Mallory Buchanan, Maggie Buchanan, Calen Buchanan, and Carson Buchanan. 8 Great Grandchildren

FUNERAL SERVICE: Living Water Church-Jesus Christ, Friday, February 13, 2015 2:00 P.M. Rev. Harold and Barbara Camp and Rev. Dan and Rhonda Collins.

VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Thursday evening, February 12, 2015 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
