DATELINE: KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA NAME: HENRY LLOYD "PETE" WELLS ________________________________________________________________________ Pete Wells, age 89, resident of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, passed away at Carolina HealthCare - Kings Mountain, on April 15, 2017. Born in Cleveland County on July 22, 1927, he was the son of the late Francis Vane Wells and Mamie Caroline Compton Wells. Being the last survivor of his family, he was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. He was a barber for 57 years, loved to garden and member of the Fairview Masonic Lodge # 339 in Kings Mountain.
SURVIVORS: Wife of 66 years, Doris Moore Wells, Kings Mountain, NC. One Daughter: Gloria Sowers, Mint Hill, NC. One Grand-daughter: Brittney Kondratiev and husband Yuri, Providence , RI.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday, April 17, 2017, 3:00 PM First Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, NC, Dr. John Sloan officiating.
VISITATION: One hour prior to the service in the Stained Glass Room at the church.
