DATELINE:  GROVER, NORTH CAROLINA Howard Junior Beard Howard Junior Beard, 64, of Grover, NC, passed away on August 01, 2018 at Carolina Medical Center - Main in Charlotte, NC.  Born in Union County, SC, he was the son of the late Grady Beard and Geraldine Foster Beard and was preceded in death by two brothers. Howard was a longtime member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was a skilled welder and worked nationally and internationally for forty years. Howard was an instructor and respected mentor to many people during his career. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by everyone who knew and loved him.
