Irene Granger

: IRENE GRANGER - Irene Granger, age 80, resident of Shelby, went to be with the Lord February 6, 2013 at Wendover Hospice in Shelby, NC. She was born in Cherokee Co., SC, daughter of the late Lonnie and Grace Bell Henderson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by 9 brothers. She was a homemaker, a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Shelby, NC, enjoyed shopping and an excellent cook. Irene enjoyed her family and friends and was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

SURVIVORS: Husband of 27 years, Herb Granger, Shelby Son: Pete Henderson, Kings Mountain 1 Step-son 3 Step-daughters Sisters; Ruby Dixon, Clover, SC Florence Moss, Gastonia Granddaughter; Ashley Henderson, Kings Mountain 7 Step-Grandchildren and 2 Step-Great-Grandchildren

FUNERAL SERVICE: Bethel Baptist Church, Shelby, NC Friday, February 8, 2013 12:00 Noon Dr. Timothy Sims, Dr. JM Ezell, officiating

VISITATION: 11:00-12:00 , prior to the service in the sanctuary of Bethel Baptist Church, Shelby, NC and at other times at the home.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
