Iris Kay (Thornburg) Dover

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Iris Kay Dover Iris Kay Dover, 78, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on June 26, 2022 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, daughter of the late James and Elma Hamrick Thornburg and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Thomas Dover. Iris was a lifelong member of Pathway Baptist Church in Kings Mountain. She was very artistic and enjoyed writing poetry, drawing, and creating beautiful crafts. Iris loved spending time with her family, fishing and growing flowers. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. Her kindness and love will be missed greatly by everyone who knew her.
