DIED JULY 25, 2010

KINGS MOUNTAIN - Iva Lingerfelt Beam, 77, of 113 Country Grove Road, passed away, July 25, 2010 at White Oak Manor, She was born in York County, S.C., to the late John Frank and Lucrettie Summers Lingerfelt. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Johnny Lingerfelt, Calvin Lingerfelt, Carl Lingerfelt, Cline Lingerfelt, Lester Lonnie Lingerfelt; sisters, Ruby Dixon, Aileen Proctor, Betty Roper, and Opal Carroll. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Kings Mtn. where she served as Sunday School Teacher. Former employee of Maner Insurance Agency, serving for 12 years, and retired as a Teachers Assistant with Kings Mountain District Schools after 17 years of service. She was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family very much. She was a creative lady who loved working with children, special projects, and hosting special gatherings at her home.
She is survived, by her husband of 43 years, John Thomas "Tom" Beam, her son, Michael Beam and wife Kathy, of Gastonia, daughters, Jane Lovelace Redmond and husband Jeff, of Kingsport, Tenn, Lynn Lovelace Brown and husband Wayne, of Shelby; 5 Grandchildren, Lee Beam and wife Madeline, Amy Blanton and husband Chad, Caroline Redmond, Casey Lockler and husband Joseph, and Brady Goforth and wife Anita, special niece, Jackie Dixon Hardin and 7 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation: The family will receive friends, July 28, immediately following the service, St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall
Memorial Service: Wednesday, July 28, 2 p.m., St. Matthew's Lutheran Church
