Iva Mae Henson

IVA MAE HENSON - Iva Mae Henson, age 81, resident of Kings Mountain, NC was born on December 7, 1930 in Kings Mountain, NC. She died May 16, 2012 at Wendover Hospice, Shelby, NC. She was the daughter of the late Forrest and Aquilla Ham Huffstetler. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Max Henson and 10 siblings. She worked at Cleveland Regional Medical Center as an anesthesiology technician for 35 years, where she retired. Iva was a charter member of Penley's Chapel Church, where she served as music director and taught the Ladies Bible Sunday School Class. Her devotion and talents was given in so many ways. Iva had the sweet, pure voice of an Angel and a heart to match. Rarely would one see her without a smile.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Penley's Chapel Church, Saturday, May 19, 2012 3:00 P.M. Rev. Doug Allen and Dr. Boyce Huffstetler, officiating.

VISITATION: 1:30 - 2:30 P.M. Saturday, May 19, 2012 prior to the service in the Penley's Chapel Church Sanctuary.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
