DATELINE: KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Jackie Dean Peterson Jackie Dean Peterson, 69, of Shelby, NC, passed away on May 16, 2020 at White Oak Manor in Shelby, NC. Born in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Jack Edward Peterson and Helen Pearl Greene. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Heather Peterson, sisters Linda McDaniel and Ann Peterson and brother Ricky Peterson. Jackie loved his community and volunteered for many years with the Bessemer City Booster Club. He was a dire hard Duke fan and was retired from the textile industry. He attended First United Methodist Church in Bessemer City. He was a loving father, grandfather brother and friend.
