Jackie Dale Short

JACKIE DALE SHORT - Jackie Dale Short, age 64 resident of Kings Mountain, NC passed away on November 18, 2016 at Testa Family Hospice House, Kings Mtn. He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Mills Monroe Short and Carrie Lee Fredell Short. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Hicks Short; brothers, Ricky Short, Ronnie Short, Bobby Short; sister Galia Short; and grandson, Cameron Short. Mr. Short was formerly employed with Anvil Knit, and retired from Spectrum Yarns, Kings Mtn. NC. He was also a brick mason. He was a member of New Life Family Worship Center, Kings Mtn. NC. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who enjoyed playing horseshoes.

SURVIVORS: Sons: David Short, Cherryville, NC Larry Short and wife Tammy, Kings Mtn. NC Randy Short and wife Melissa, Kings Mtn. NC Daughter: Sandy Short, Kings Mtn. NC Brothers: Harold Short and wife Brenda, Kings Mtn. NC Vernon Short, Lincolnton, NC Sisters: Geraldine Mull, Kings Mtn. NC Mary Mull and husband Kenneth, Kings Mtn. NC 7 Grandchildren: Tyler Short, Brandon Short, Brittany Short, Victoria Short, Abigail Cody,Sophia Adams,Braden Kopasz,Thomas Burgess. 2 Great-Grandchildren: Stormi Burgess and Camron Burgess.

FUNERAL SERVICE: New Life Family Worship Center, Kings Mountain, NC Sunday, November 20, 2016 3:00 P.M. Randy Short and Dr. Robert Eng, officiating.

VISITATION: 2:00 - 3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 20, 2016 prior to the service in the sanctuary of New Life Family Worship Center, Kings Mountain, North Carolina.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
