DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Jackie "Rusty" Lanier, Jr.

Jackie Donald "Rusty" Lanier Jr., 50, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on December 03, 2023 at his home in Kings Mountain, NC.  Born in Gaston County, NC, he was the son of Jackie Donald Lanier, Sr. and the late Dixie Hill Lanier. He was preceded in death by his son Brent Lanier. Rusty served his country honorably for eight years as an artilleryman in the U.S. Army, after which he worked as a welder for many years. Rusty was a loving father and grandfather, generous with his time and affection. He was a good son and brother who shared a special bond with his siblings, especially his brother Scotty. He loved his fur babies, Zoey and Storm, almost as much as those dogs loved him. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

SURVIVORS: Girlfriend: Jean Adamoli Father: Jackie Lanier, Sr. Children: Jessica Dean Lanier, Tiffany Marie Lanier Siblings and step-siblings: Scotty Lanier, Christy Lanier, Savannah Lanier, Bennie Teague, Pamela Cantrell,  Amanda Carrigan, Cody Teague and Jessie Teague Rusty is additionally survived by seven special grandchildren and his step-mother Savannah Lanier.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Monday, December 11, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel.

VISITATION: Prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:50 PM in the parlor at Harris Funeral Home.
