Jacob Coxen

JACOB COXEN - Jacob Eugene "Gene" Coxen, age 85, a resident of 911 Wildwood Dr. Kings Mountain, NC died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at his home. He was born in York, PA, son of the late Jacob Coxen and Bertha Malehorn Coxen Stough and was also preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Mae Smith Coxen. A member of Dixon Presbyterian church where he served as an Elder. He retired from the U.S. Army, having served in WWII, the Korean War and Vietnam and also retired from Boston Gear Co. Charlotte, NC, he was a mason and member of the Rising Sun Masonic Lodge, Manila, Phillipines and a past Associate Grand Guardian of Pennsylvania and International Order of Job's Daughters. He was also a past board member of the Black Mountain Children's Home.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 29 years, Barbara A. Julius Coxen, Kings Mountain, NC

Sons: Ronald Coxen and wife Cynthia, San Antonio, Texas Scott Chamberlain, York, PA

Daughters:Connie Coxen Petcher and husband Ronald,Roseland,VA Michele Knaub, Dillsburg, PA

Brother: Richard Coxen, Georgia

Sister: Esther Prouse, Kannapolis, NC

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Dixon Presbyterian Church, Saturday, March 30, 2013 At 6:00 P.M. Rev. Randy Patterson, officiating.
