James Albert Childers

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA James Albert Childers James Albert Childers, 90, of Kings Mountain, NC, went to be with the Lord on June 03, 2022 at his home. He was born in Cleveland County, NC, son of the late Teal and Myrtle Mauney Childers and was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Libby. James was also preceded in death by a brother, Ray Childers, a sister, Annie Mae Berry, and a son-in-law, Scott Fite. He was a lifelong member of Dixon Presbyterian Church. James served his country honorably in the US Army. He retired from Minette Mills in Grover, NC after 33 years of service and worked in the family poultry business for most of his life. James was an avid Atlanta Braves and Duke Blue Devils fan. He loved spending time gardening and enjoyed his family's annual beach trips together. James loved his family immensely and especially cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. His kindness, guidance, and love will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
