James Michael Brewster II, 47, of Lawndale, NC, entered the gates of Heaven on October 10, 2021 at his home. He was born in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Michael was a longtime member of Encounter Church in Gaffney, SC where he was very active. He worked for many years as a newspaper delivery driver. In his spare time, Michael enjoyed spending time outside, fishing, hunting, and hiking. He loved working with his hands and listening to praise and worship and rock and roll music. Michael was a kindhearted and loyal family man and friend. He enjoyed making people laugh and could always light up a room. He loved the Lord with all his heart and praised His name until the end. He wasn't a perfect man but none of us are perfect. But he was the perfect husband for me and perfect dad to our children. He wasn't scared to show others his love and faith in Christ. He was the type of man who would help another out anyway he could. Last year 2020 he started a prayer meeting at his work 3 weeks before we found out about his brain tumor in July 2020. When we first moved into our home, Mike made a big cross and put it on our front porch so when everyone that passed by our home would see it. Not to boast that we were Christians but to let everyone who seen the big cross know there was always hope in Jesus Christ. He was a loving husband, father, son, and friend who will be missed greatly by everyone who knew him.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 2:00PM at Encounter Church, Gaffney, SC with Pastor Joey Turner officiating

VISITATION: Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 1:00PM to 1:50PM prior to the service at the church
