James Carroll

JAMES CARROLL - James Carroll, age 81, resident of Wales Road, Kings Mountain, NC died April 20, 2015 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. He was born in Roanoke, AL to the late Emmette Carroll and Kate Gay Carroll. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John Tyler Carroll; sister, Carolyn Adams; and granddaughter, Casey Laura Burnette. Mr. Carroll was a 1961 graduate of Auburn University and served in the United States Army. He was owner of Community Grocery and Phifer Road Laundry.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 60 years: Chrystine Mitchum Carroll, Kings Mtn. NC Son: Glenn Carroll, Kings Mtn. NC Daughter: Nikki C. Burnette, Kings Mtn. NC Sister: Catherine Clark, Roanoke, AL Sister-in-law: Linda Hall, Huntsville, AL 2 Grandchildren: James Tucker Carroll and Jordon Taylor Burnette.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Thursday, April 23, 2015 4:00 P.M. Dr. John Sloan, officiating.

VISITATION: Family will speak to friends following the service.
