James H. "Curly" Davis

JAMES H. "CURLY" DAVIS - James H. "Curly" Davis, age 63, resident of 805 W. Gold Street, Kings Mountain, NC died August 29, 2011 at Kings Mountain Hospital. He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Ray Davis and Katherine Reynolds Davis. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Albert Lee Davis, Jimmy Davis, and Eugene Davis. He was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom, Kings Mtn. NC and member of Royal Praise Ministries, Kings Mtn. A loving committed husband, father, and grandfather who was outgoing, willing to help others, a hard worker and one who never met a stranger. He loved wrestling, three stooges, Johnny Cash, Elvis and George Jones.

SURVIVORS: Wife: Mabel Hannon Davis, Kings Mtn. NC Sons: Scotty Ramsey and wife Amanda, Winston-Salem, NC Gary Ramsey and wife Tina, Kings Mtn. NC Donnie Ramsey, Thomasville, NC And Gary Dwayne Ramsey, Kings Mtn. NC Daughters: Lisa Thompson and husband Greg, Gastonia, NC Donna Seay, Cherryville, NC; Rhonda Guin, Kings Mtn. NC Jackie Carroll, Kings Mtn and Vickie Ramsey, Kings Mtn. Sister: Kathy Buff, Cherrville, NC 13 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Wednesday, August 31, 2011 2:00 P.M. Bishop Brady Jackson, officiating.

VISITATION: 12:30 - 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, August 31, 2011 prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mtn. NC

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
