James Edward Gaultney, Sr

JAMES E. GAULTNEY, SR. - James E. Gaultney, Sr. age 97, resident of 5130 Battleground Rd. Kings Mountain, NC went to be with his Lord August 25, 2015 at his home. He was born in Wise Co, VA to the late Leif Lee Gaultney and Bertha Sullivan Gaultney. He was also preceded in death by 4 Sisters and 1 Brother. Mr. Gaultney was retired from Firestone Textiles, Gastonia, NC after 35 years of service. After his retirement he was employed with Ace Hardware, Clover, SC. He was a member of Oak View Baptist Church where he served as Deacon for 58 years and taught Sunday School. He was a loving and wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend who enjoyed carpentry and gardening.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 69 years: Ruby Wells Gaultney, Kings Mtn. NC Son: Jimmy Gaultney and wife Peggy, Kings Mtn. NC Daughters: Judy Gaultney, Kings Mtn. NC Diane Beard, Kings Mtn. NC and Teresa Fitch and husband Chris, Kings Mtn. NC Brother: Claude Gaultney and wife Marie, Salisbury, NC 2 Grandchildren: Jamie Gaultney, Kings Mtn. NC Misty Coleburn and husband Jonathan, Greer, SC 6 Great Grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Oak View Baptist Church, Saturday, August 29, 2015 4:00 P.M. Rev. David Turner and Rev. Billy Cooper, officiating.

VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday evening, August 28, 2015 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina other times at the home, 5130 Battleground Rd. Kings Mountain, NC 28086
