James J. Falls

JAMES J. FALLS - James J. Falls, age 90 resident of Kings Mountain, NC peacefully went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on April 13, 2016 at Testa Family Hospice House, Kings Mtn. NC. He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Ira J. Falls and Bertha Jane Culberson Falls. He was also preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years, Lorena Roper Falls; son, Dennis James Falls; brothers, Harold Falls, Doytt Falls, Roy Falls; sisters, Ruth Navy and Joyce Hilliard. Mr. Falls was retired from Lithium Corp after 15 years of service and was an active member of Eastside Baptist Church, Kings Mtn. NC. He served as former Deacon and enjoyed making the treat bags at Christmas. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II.

NC Daughter-in-law: Teresa Young Falls, Bessemer City, NC Brother: Bill Falls and wife Alohma, Kings Mtn. NC Sisters: Eloise Acuff, Lancaster, SC Shirley Wilson, Gastonia, NC Special Sister-in-law: Betty Roper, Kings Mtn. NC 4 Grandchildren: Tim Moore, Kings Mtn. NC Karla M. Drennan and husband Randy, Kings Mtn. NC Kandas Broome and husband Matthew, Waxhaw, NC Russell Falls and fiance Jennifer, Kings Mtn., NC 7 Great Grandchildren: McRae & Wilson Moore, Sarah & Lily Drennan, MaKayla & Morgan Broome, and Dylan Falls.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Eastside Baptist Church, Saturday, April 16, 2016 2:00 P.M. Rev. Ron Caulder, officiating.

VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday evening, April 15, 2016 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina

INTERMENT WITH FULL MILITARY HONORS PROVIDED BY THE MARINE CORPS LEAGUE FOOTHILLS DETACHMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
