NAME: JAMES CALVIN MESSER
James Calvin Messer, 52, died April 3, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center. He was born in Gaston County to the late Glen Calvin Messer and Marie Earley Messer. He was proceeded in death by nephew, Mark Reid.
He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, and was an employee of Harris Teeter for 35 years. He had a strong faith in Jesus Christ which sustained him through his battle with cancer. He was a devoted Minnesota Vikings and UNC Tarheels fan. He was a loving husband, father, brother and son.

FUNERAL SERVICE: A funeral service will be held at 3 PM., Thursday, April 6th at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Kings Mountain with Revs. Rob Quillin and Steve Swagger officiating.
VISITATION: 7PM to 9PM Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, NC
