James Lee Philbeck, 72 of Grover, NC, passed away on October 09, 2017 at his residence. Born in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Arnold Buford Philbeck and Madge Melton Philbeck. He was also preceded in death by sister Doris Marie Sanders, and brothers Buford A. Philbeck and JC Philbeck. James was retired from Martin Marietta and was a member of Grover Church of God.

Sons: Steven Philbeck, Grover; NC; Robbie Philbeck, Shelby, NC; Brian Philbeck, Grover, NC;
Step-Sons: Max Davis, Grover, NC and Brian Davis, Kings Mtn., NC;
Brothers: G.C. Philbeck Kings Mtn, NC; Gene Philbeck and wife Darlene, Earl, NC;
Sister: Gertrude Knox and husband Will, Grover, NC;
13 grandchildren, one being of the home, Julian Philbeck
3 great-grandchildren
