James Andrew Tippins Jr.

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA James Andrew "Andy" Tippins, Jr. James Andrew "Andy" Tippins, Jr., 59, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on March 19, 2019 at Hospice & Palliative Care @ Aldergate in Charlotte, NC. Born in Gaston County NC, he was preceded in death by his parents James Tippins Sr. and Mildred Ann Sisk and his wife, Wanda Jean Tippins.  Andy was a talented musician who enjoyed writing songs and poems.  He attended the Moorehead School for the Blind before graduating from Kings Mountain High School in 1980.  Andy had a magnetic personality who enjoyed family gatherings, camping, fishing, long conversations and he was a beach bum at heart.  He was always striving to move forward regardless of any circumstances.   He loved his animals and was a loving son, brother, dad, grandfather, uncle and friend.
