Janice Lee (Smith) Welch

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Janice S. Welch Janice S. Welch, 66, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on June 11, 2020 at her home. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, and was preceded in death by her father, Walter Lee Smith, mother-in-law, Patricia Welch and her grandson, Tristan Davis. Janice was a member of Cherokee Street Baptist Church. She retired from STI after 47 years of service in the textile industry. Janice was dedicated to her job and enjoyed working in her yard and growing flowers. She liked to travel with her family and friends and loved the mountains and the beach. Janice was generous to all and always placed people ahead of her own needs and wants. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. Janice will be dearly missed by her family and loving friends.
