Jerry Ray Dover

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Jerry Ray Dover Jerry Ray Dover, 84, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on November 21, 2021 at Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation in Cherryville, NC. He was born in Cleveland County, NC, son of the late Jess and John Edith Crawford Dover and was preceded in death by 4 brothers; Jimmy, Jackie, Johnny, and Donald Dover and a sister, Joyce McIntyre. Jerry was also preceded in death by a great grandchild, Payton Auton. He served his nation honorably in the US Army. Jerry spent most of his life working in the printing industry. He was a member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church for more than 40 years where he served as a deacon. Jerry loved to stay active, fishing, bowling, camping, and playing bingo. During his latter years, Jerry enjoyed spending time at the Patrick Senior Center. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather to his many grandchildren. His generosity, love, and willingness to help people will be dearly missed by everyone who knew Jerry. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Carolina Care and Rehabilitation for the exceptional care and love shown to Jerry during his time at the facility.
