JERRY NIVENS - Jerry D. Nivens, age 78, resident of 1722 County Line Road, Kings Mountain, NC died December 31, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia, NC He was born in Gaston Co, NC to the late William Boyd Nivens and Kathleen Virginia Edwards Nivens. He was also preceded in death by brother, Michael Nivens and 6 half brothers. Mr. Nivens was owner of South Gastonia Barbershop for 47 years. He was of the Presbyterian Faith and loved farming. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
SURVIVORS: Wife of 14 years: Pat Nivens, Kings Mtn. NC Son: David Nivens, Gastonia, NC Daughters: Kathy N. Kiser, Cherryville, NC Cindy N. Digh, Lincolnton, NC Sarah Meek and Martha Williams, both of Kings Mtn. NC Sister: Phyllis Lineberger, Gastonia, NC 9 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Thursday, January 3, 2013 2:00 P.M. Pastor Jerry Rhodes, officiating.
VISITATION: 12:30 - 1:30 P.M. Thursday afternoon January 3, 2013 prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mtn. NC
INTERMENT: Hollywood Cemetery, Gastonia, North Carolina Graveside Service: Thursday, January 3, 2013 3:30 P.M.
