Jerry Floyd Stawls

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Jerry Floyd Stawls Jerry Floyd Stawls, 69, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on October 28, 2020 at Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain, NC. He was born in Cherokee County, SC, son of the late Wallace Gray and Lillian Isabel Panther Stawls and was preceded in death by his brother, Barry Glenn Stawls and two infants siblings, David and Linda Stawls. Jerry was a dedicated member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Jerry worked in retail most of his life, having worked at KFC, Service Merchandise and OfficeMax. He enjoyed watching movies, especially Star Wars and Star Trek. Jerry was a Civil War buff who loved to visit the many Civil War sites, especially in Virginia. He loved surfing the internet and was an avid reader who had a thirst for learning everything he could about new things. Jerry loved traveling to the mountains to hike the many trails solo. He was an avid photographer and bird watcher. Jerry was a kind and genuine man who will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
