Jerry Harold Tessneer

DATELINE:  LINCOLNTON, NORTH CAROLINA Jerry Harold Tessneer Jerry Harold Tessneer, 60, of Lincolnton, NC, passed away on October 01, 2018 at his home in Lincolnton, NC. Born in Cleveland County, NC, he was the son of the late Millard Harold Tessneer and Doris Lucille Buff Tessneer and was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy and Billy Tessneer. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jerry H. Tessneer II and his daughter, Jerri Caroline Tessneer and special parents, Pop and Mom Baugham. Jerry was a member of the Cleveland County Christian Law Enforcement Officers Association and former president and member of the Region C Law Enforcement Committee and served on the Region C Board. He was a member of the NC Police Executives Association and of the NC Association of Chiefs of Police. Jerry served on the Cleveland Community College Criminal Justice Advisory Board and is a NC Justice Academy certified instructor and former D.A.R.E. instructor. Chief Tessneer was a member of the Kings Mountain Police Department for 26 years and served the community for 14 and 1/2 years as Assistant Chief and for 1 year and 3 months as Chief of Police. Jerry was a loving husband, father and grandfather who always put others needs before his own.
