Jimmy Ray McGinnis, 78, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on December 10, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC. He was born in Calhoun County, AL, son of the late Drennan Gavin and Marguerite Willamon McGinnis and was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joy Temple Mcginnis. Jimmy was also preceded in death by brothers, Royce, Doug, and Donald McGinnis, sisters, Lanoel Brogdon and Lucy Reeves, and stepsons, Chris and William Howell. Jimmy worked in the textile industry for most of his career. He enjoyed refinishing antique furniture and growing beautiful flowers. He will be missed dearly by his loving family and friends.

SURVIVORS: Children: Jamie McGinnis, Michael McGinnis, and Sheila McGinnis Stepsons: Dean Howell (Brenda) of Kings Mountain, and Mike Howell of Gastonia Sisters: Patsy Veneable, Wanda McCaskill, and Sally Raines Brother: Mark McGinnis Many grandchildren and great grandchildren

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Mountain Rest Cemetery with Pastor Sheila Grigg officiating.
