Joan Daphne (Martin) Cassada

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Joan Daphne Cassada Joan Daphne Cassada, 81, of Kings Mountain, formerly of Gastonia NC, passed away on October 05, 2022 at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain, NC. She was born in Middlesex, England, daughter of the late Emmit and Alice Frith Martin and was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Cassada. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jean Roberts of England. Joan was a longtime member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and retired from Keith Hawthorne Ford where she worked as a cashier for many years. She was a wonderful mother and loved spending time with her family. Joan enjoyed cooking wonderful meals for her loved ones and looked forward to decorating her home for Christmas every year. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, shopping, and taking long walks. Joan was always a fun loving person and her love, guidance, and humor will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved her.
