Jo Ann Cole Moore

Jo Ann Cole Moore, 92, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on December 07, 2023 at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain, NC. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, daughter of the late James Benson Cole and Era Ozelle Wilson Cole and was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Clifford Moore Jr. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, JB and Ronnie Cole. Jo Ann worked for many years at the Pauline Store where she made countless friend throughout her career. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church. Jo Ann enjoyed nothing more than serving others, whether through teaching children in Sunday School, singing in the Golden Fellowship, or baking fresh cornbread for those bereaved. She could be found volunteering in all aspects of church life. She not only loved helping others, she did it with an authentic and humble heart and spirit. She possessed a beautifully kind soul that she shared with everyone she came in contact with. Jo Ann was always thankful for the smallest of gestures and never missed an opportunity to thank someone and tell them how much she loved them. In her spare time, JoAnn enjoyed spending time in the garden and canning and preserving the food she and Jack had grown. Her kindness, love, and generosity was unchanging and has created fond memories that will last a lifetime for those who knew and loved her. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at White Oak Manor for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Jo Ann during her time there.

Great Grandchild: Addison Grae Moore

Sister-in-law: Jean Moore, Virginia Beach, VA

FUNERAL SERVICE: Sunday, December 10, 2023 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Reverends Dr. John Sloan and Dr. Steve Taylor officiating

VISITATION: Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM prior to the service in the Ladies Parlor at First Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, NC

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
