John Ancil Carden

DATELINE: KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA JOHN ANCIL CARDEN John Ancil Carden, 81 of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on February 14, 2018 at White Oak Manor, Kings Mountain, NC. Born in Carter County, Carden’s Bluff/Hampton, Tennesse. He was Son of the late Loyd Clarence Carden and Elsie Marie Brunty Carden. He was preceded in death by siblings: Leslie G Carden, James Robert Carden, Mary Alice Jackson, Georgia Helen Goff, William Andrew Carden, Isabella Lueasy Brandon, and Frederick Raymond Carden. John was retired from Air National Guard after 16 years of service and served in the Air Force for four years. He was a retired tool and die machinist. SURVIVORS: Wife of 57 years, Catherine Mary Carden, Kings Mountain, NC; 2 daughters: Mary Hamrick (James), Kings Mountain, NC; Cindy Rubino (John), North Caldwell, NJ; Brother Donnie Walker Carden Hampton, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Matthew Rubino, Anthony Rubino, Kassidy Hamrick, and Jonathan Hamrick. MEMORIAL SERVICE WITH MILITARY HONORS: 4:00 PM Sunday, February 18th, 2018 at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Kings Mountain officiated by Rev. Wayne Braszel and Dr. Steve Taylor.
