John W. Gladden, Jr

JOHN W. GLADDEN, JR -John W. Gladden, Jr., age 83, a resident of 704 Jackson Street, Kings Mountain, NC, died Saturday, June 18, 2011 at White Oak Manor. Born in Cleveland County, NC, son of the late John W. Gladden, Sr, and Mille Mauney Gladden, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Denver Gladden Paul Gladden and sisters, Irene McAbee and Lucille Falls. John was also preceded in death by his wife Roberta Sea Gladden. He was a former employee of Eastern Airlines and General Motors Aviation Division. He was an active member of First Baptist Church, a former choir member, former member of the Lion's Club and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

NC 6 Grandchildren: Kristen, Cory, Kailey, Kassidy, Brooke, and Bryanna

FUNERAL SERVICE: First Baptist Church, Wednesday, June 22, 2011 11:00 a.m. Dr. John Sloan, officiating.

VISITATION: 10:00 to 11:00 prior to the service in the Stained Glass Room at First Baptist Church.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
