JOHNNY WRAY CONNER - Johnny Wray Conner, age 78, resident of 102 Battleground Road, Kings Mountain, NC died September 25, 2011 at White Oak Manor, Kings Mtn. NC. He was born on June 6, 1933 in Gaston Co, NC to the late James Ervin Conner and Ethel Cabe Conner. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Betty Payne and brother, Clyde Ervin Conner. Mr. Conner was a carpenter and served in the United States Navy. He was a man who loved his family and a member of Temple Baptist Church, Kings Mtn.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 58 years: Donnie Vee Cooke Conner, Kings Mtn. NC Sons: Johnny Conner and wife Janice, Kings Mtn. NC Donnie Conner and wife Dawn, Gastonia, NC Daughters: Lynn Williams and husband Danny, Six Mile, SC Sandra Randolph and husband Mickey, Boiling Springs, NC Sheryl Myers and husband David, Kings Mtn. NC Gina Hamrick and special friend, Matthew, Pensacola, FL Special Children: Patty, Dennis, Harold, Chris, and Eric. Sister: Garnell Bryant, Cherryville, NC 12 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Wednesday, September 28, 2011 12:00 noon Rev. Jimmy Maney and Rev. Doug Ramsey, officiating.

VISITATION: 11:00 - 12:00 noon Wednesday, September 28, 2011 prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mtn. NC and other times at the home, 102 Battleground Road, Kings Mtn. NC.
