Jose Lucio Chavez Torres, 48, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away suddenly on May 30, 2021 at his home. He was born in Michoacan, Mexico, son of the late Antonio Chavez Elias. Jose worked as a waiter in the restaurant business. He loved playing soccer as a child and enjoyed watching it in his spare time. Jose loved spending time riding bikes with his son. He will be missed dearly by his family and many friends.

SURVIVORS: Wife of twenty-three years: Irene Arroyo Avalos, Lawndale, NC Children: Lucio, Aneyda, and Christopher Chavez Arroyo, Braeden Josiah Chavez, and Graycee Olivia Chavez Mother: Maria Torres, Michoacan, Mexico Nine brothers and sisters

FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jose Espinal officiating

VISITATION: Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home
