Joy Wells Hollifield, 60, resident of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, entered the Gates of Heaven on May 21, 2017 at her home. Born in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of Boyce and Helen Dixon Wells. She was employed as office manager of First Baptist Church for 21 years and loved her job. She loved the Lord, loved being a “Mamaw” and enjoyed her grandchildren. Joy was the lead singer of Cross Reference Gospel Group for 19 years.

Husband of 37 years: Curt Hollifield, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
2 Daughters: Christen Blanton and husband Rev. Steven Blanton, Hendersonville, NC and Laura Gibson and husband Chase, Kings Mountain, NC
3 grandchildren: Eli, Emory and Parke
Sister: Cindi Wells Welch and husband Charles, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, May 25, 2017, 2:00 PM, First Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Blanton, Dr. John Sloan and Rev. Mike Chambers officiating.
VISITATION: Wednesday, May 24, 2017, 6 PM to 8 PM, Harris Funeral Home
INTERMENT: Christian Freedom Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
