Juanita "Nita" Caveny, 82, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on September 24, 2022 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC. She was born in St. Joseph County, IN, daughter of the late Leo R. Smith and Mary Zehner and was preceded in death by Howard "Peewee" Caveny. Nita was the best Mama and Nanny anyone could have ever had. She always loved life to the fullest and made sure everyone around her did the same. Nita never complained and was always "Fine" whenever she was asked how she was. Nita was very much loved and will be missed dearly by her family and friends. She will always be in our hearts and never forgotten. Nita leaves her family and many friend to cherish her memory. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
