Judy Mayes Philbeck Judy Mayes Philbeck, 72, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on December 08, 2022 at Wendover Hospice, Shelby, NC.  Born in Cleveland Co, NC, She was Daughter of the late William Frealo Mayes and Laura Jane Ellis Mayes .  She was also preceded in death by her husband Roger Eugene Philbeck; brothers, Roy Mayes, William "Bill" Mayes, Lawrence Mayes, Clyde Mayes, Kenneth Mayes and Morris Mayes.  Judy owned and operated Judy's Place Hair Salon for many years and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.     Judy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  Her generous nature was evident to everyone she knew.  She enjoyed gardening, growing vegetables and flowers, and preparing delicious meals for her family.    She will be greatly missed by her family and community.
