Larston Joe "Skip" Williams, 59, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on February 9, 2025 at home. Born May 18, 1965 in Sioux City, IA, he was the son of the late Bobby Eugene Williams and Barbara Carol Bruneau Williams and was also preceded in death by brother Norris Rayfield. Skip enjoyed the music of Mötley Crüe and was an avid sports fan, cheering on the North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team and the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL. He also had a passion for NASCAR racing and rooted for Chase Elliott. Skip was a very loving person who liked everybody. He was also very honest and would tell you the matter-of-fact truth no matter what. Despite his sickness, Skip took care of everybody. Even as his time drew near, his heart of gold shone through and he did everything he could to make sure his brother and family were taken care of. Skip's memory will be a blessing and his loved ones will cherish their time together for as long as they live.

SURVIVORS: Children: Tonja "Tony" Williams and Bobby Jo "B.J." Williams Siblings: Carol Oliver (Randy "Smiley"), Donna Johnson (Tim), Bobby Gene Williams (Sherri), and Joanne Smart (Lee). Nieces and nephews: T.J. Johnson (Amanda), Nicholas Johnson, and Kami Williams (Cortney) Great-nieces and nephews: Logan, Lydia, Israel, Cyrus, Cole, and Amari Skip is additionally survived by Paul Williams (Lucille), Dot Tesseneer, and Roger Williams, Wayne Butler, Danny Williams, Brenda and many cousins

The family will hold a memorial service on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Harvest Baptist Church with Reverend Gary Teague II officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church
