Born in York County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Marion Alden Cook and Herma Marie Randell. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Richard Vance Allen and brothers Alfred Cook, Ivan Cook, Jimmy Cook and Max Cook. She was an Administrative Assistant for the Town of Grover and a member of New Buffalo Baptist Church. SURVIVORS: Sons: Rex Allen and wife Sharon Putnam Allen, Kings Mtn. NC; Keith Allen and wife Susan, Charlotte, NC Daughter: Penny Allen Buchanan and husband Brian, Gastonia, NC 1 sister: Eloise Mitchell, 6 Grandchildren: Austin Allen, Hunter Allen, Johnnie Stewart, Carrington Allen, William Dekker and Allison Dekker. 3 Great Grandchildren: Sophie Stewart, Zak Stewart and Austin Stewart.
