Lois Blackwell Bolt

July 25, 1928 — June 3, 2016

LOIS BLACKWELL BOLT - Lois Blackwell Bolt, age 87, resident of Kings Mountain, NC entered the Gates of Heaven to be with her Lord on June 3, 2016 after 13 days at the Jack and Shirley Robbins Hospice and Palliative Care, Hudson, NC. She was born in Cherokee Co. SC to the late Alfred and Carrie White Blackwell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Bolt; son, Ricky Dean Bolt; brother, Woodrow Blackwell; sisters, Jessie Spencer and Annie Mayberry. Mrs. Bolt was retired from the textile industry, having worked for Osage Mills, Bessemer City, NC and Patrick Yarns, Kings Mtn. NC. She was of the Freewill Baptist Faith and recently attended Gospel Truth Ministries, Lenoir, NC. She was a member of the Faith Trio Gospel Singing Group, singing on radio, television and many churches in the region. She was always so cheerful and funny, enjoying making everyone smile and laugh. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who loved her family with all of her heart. The family would like to extend great appreciation to the Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care for going above and beyond with love and care. SURVIVORS: Sons: Ted Bolt and wife Michele, Chesnee, SC David Bolt and Lisa, Shelby, NC Daughters: Patricia Bolt Strickland and husband Glenn, Lenoir, NC Linda Bolt Ernst, Kings Mtn. NC Sister: Mildred Rollins, Gaffney, SC 17 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, and 18 Great Great Grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

VISITATION: 6:30 - 8:30 P.M. Wednesday evening, June 8, 2016 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina

FUNERAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Thursday, June 9, 2016 4:00 P.M.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
