Lucy Loraine Jonas KINGS MOUNTAIN - Lucy Loraine Jonas, 94, resident of Summitt Place, Kings Mountain, former resident of 802 Jackson St., Kings Mountain, died Saturday, June 3, 2006, at Summitt Place. Ms. Jonas was born Oct. 18, 1911, in York, S.C. to the late Daniel Lee and Rosa White Jonas. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Kings Mountain where she was a former Sunday School teacher, choir member and a member of the United Methodist Women. Ms. Jonas was also the oldest living member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was a retired Seamstress. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers Guy Jonas, Marion Jonas and James Jonas; and sisters Elizabeth Shillinglaw and Jessie Jonas. Survivors include her sister Louise Lynn of Kings Mountain; brothers D.L. Jonas of Lexington and Bill Jonas and wife Virginia of Rockwell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Service: 3 p.m. Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church, Kings Mountain conducted by Rev. Danielle Duncan and Dr. Glenn Jonas. Interment will be 4:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery, York, S.C. Visitation: 1:30-2:30 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at Grace United Methodist Church. Memorials: Hospice and Palliative Care of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights, Shelby NC or Grace United Methodist Church, 830 Church Street, Kings Mountain NC.
